Each year, Boy Scouts of America Troop 112 and American Legion Post 14 organize and lead Ashland’s Memorial Day Remembrance ceremony. The service includes band music, speakers, a biplane flyover and presentation of the service flags.Mountain View Cemetery, established in 1904, is on the National Register of Historic Places. The pioneer cemetery contains the graves of soldiers from the Spanish American War and Civil War. The large white mausoleum at the center was built in 1924 in Egyptian Revival Style.

I am hoping to bring some of my residents of my senior living facility, will there be seating and how accessible is it form senior citizens with walkers or whhelchairs?
Hi Claire. Thanks for your post and for looking to attend the event. That’s so great!
I just spoke with the key contact/organizer for the event, Kevin Calkins (on behalf of both the Boy Scouts and the American Legion). He indicates that there will be seating provided by the cemetery, but he will reach out you right away via your email address to confirm that. He also indicates that there is a 30-40 yard walk from the parking location, but he will have lots of Boy Scouts there to help escort your folks. I hope this helps and that you and your crew have a really great Memorial Day in Ashland.
