The City of Lake Oswego and Lake Oswego Veterans Memorial co-host the annual Memorial Day service. The ceremony takes place at the southwest end of beautiful Foothills Park by the memorial itself, which was dedicated in 2019.This program, always well-emceed, guides patrons through a morning of what the organizers describe as “gratitude, reflection and remembrance.” The ceremony features the Presentation of Colors by the Lake Oswego Multi-Agency Honor Guard, the National Anthem, and a distinguished keynote speaker. Attendees also witness a special flyover by the West Coast Ravens, patriotic music, dedication of a memorial wreath, a traditional 21-gun salute, and the playing of TAPS.Above Maeve Stier performs at Lake Oswego’s 2026 Memorial Day ceremony. The Portland native and Broadway multidisciplinary artist, lifted attendee spirits with multiple nostalgic tunes including ‘La Vie en Rose,’ ‘Summertime’ and ‘I’ll Be Seeing You.’
